This week we took an amazing daycation – all the elements in a fun day out with the kids including an awesome pool, pizza delivered and great friends – but no packing for a hotel! We went to an event hosted by The LA Mommy Blogger Tribe at a Swimply Pool. We ordered Mountain Mikes Pizza delivery for lunch. And had all the fun of a staycation without the hassle of packing, paying a dog sitter or the dreaded unpacking! Goodbye staycation. Hello daycation!
Mountain Mikes Pizza
We ordered Mountain Mikes pizza for everyone and it’s delish! My kids LOVE thicker crust pizza…this was the first time we had Mountain Mikes pepperoni and it was a HIT!! Delivered hot and fresh and the pepperoni has a nice kick! We approve! Definitely will order for them again…they always complain everything is too thin we’re excited to find a thicker crust pizza for delivery in Los Angeles! Plus can order online!
What is Swimply?
It’s kind of like AirBNB for pools! You get the pool, a bathroom, and some include guest homes or other pool fixins…like AirBNB they are all different.
My Thoughts on Swimply
I’m kind of excited about Swimply. It’s really super brilliant – I mean why didn’t I think of this myself?? It’s such an easy, family-friendly quality time activity to rent a beautiful local pool for a few hours (or a half day or a whole day)…and if you know Los Angeles then you know we have some gorgeous homes with even more fabulous pools! And now the rest of us can rent them and hangout for the day! Pool Day in LA! Yesssss!
FYI Swimply is available in more locations than Los Angeles – it’s nationwide. I think it’s still growing and perhaps has larger inventory in California, but keep your eye out this concept will take off!

How Much Does it Cost to Rent Swimply Pools?
Rentals in Los Angeles County start as low as $30-something/hour and for around $60/hour you have a LOT of options. For a bit more you can find ultra luxury pools with guest houses and all sorts of fab. Los Angeles tends to be an expensive market for real estate – I believe some other markets are a bit cheaper.
The pool from Swimply included a bathroom with shower, a large play structure, a guesthouse with a fridge/freezer, a large pool with a “shelf” for shallow lounging, an incline entry shallow area for toddlers and little kids and a jacuzzi. Something for every swim ability and age! We brought our own pool floats and towels. And of course I already mentioned, ordered food delivered to the pool. Super easy daycation!
